Welcome to Creating Happy Memories, where we – Lee, Ana, and our two sons Alexander (6) and Lucas (7 months) – share our family adventures across the UK and beyond. Our blog is a chronicle of our journeys, big and small, as we explore everything from sandy beaches to historic National Trust sites.

Raindrops couldn’t stop us from exploring the magical Lost Gardens of Heligan! 🌳🌺
Despite the wet weather, our family had an awesome time wandering through the lush forests, spotting the Mud Maid sculpture, and crossing the wobbly bridge in the tranquil Japanese garden.
Alexander loved the Jungle Giants adventure trail and the fun-filled playground. And we all enjoyed the stunning scenery, curious wildlife, and surprises like the swinging chair and giant listening cone.
Though we got soaked towards the end of our visit , the visit was an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to go back and see more of this enchanting place!

The real star? The Cornish Pizza Company! 🤤 Hands down, best pizza we`ve had in the UK. Local ingredients, organic flour – it`s pizza perfection!
Didn`t get much beach time (tide was coming in), but those few moments of sand, sea, and seriously good food were pure magic. Already planning our return trip!

Stepped into a fairytale today at St Michael’s Mount! 🏰
✨ This tidal island is pure magic - we crossed the ancient causeway at low tide (pro tip: baby carrier > stroller on those pebbles!), climbed up to the castle for breathtaking views, and explored the charming village below.
Highlights:
* Stunning 360° views from the castle top
* Narrow passages and medieval vibes inside
* Delicious ice cream and coffee in the village
* Exciting boat ride back as the tide came in!

A great night a couple of weeks ago it was unforgettable! We witnessed an incredible fireworks display that lit up the Cornish coast. The atmosphere was electric - live music, bustling bars, and a sky ablaze with color.
The show wasn`t just fireworks; it was a journey through Land`s End`s history, with a soundtrack that brought the story to life. From the perfect viewing spot, we were transported into a world of wonder.
