A Slice of Heaven: Sunset and Pizza at Trevaunance Cove
On our journey back to our AirBnB from the Eden Project, we made a delightful stop at St Agnes – Trevaunance Cove just before sunset. Our goal was simple: to grab a bite to eat and enjoy some fresh sea air.
Trevaunance Cove
Trevaunance Cove is a charming beach nestled in the heart of St Agnes. As we arrived, we were immediately struck by its natural beauty – a wide, sandy expanse facing the Atlantic Ocean. While we didn’t have time for swimming or surfing on this visit, we could see why it’s a popular spot for such activities. The cove has a rich history, once serving as a harbour for local mines, which adds to its character.
Pizza Experience
The highlight of our stop was undoubtedly our meal at The Cornish Pizza Company (https://www.thecornishpizzacompany.co.uk/). I can confidently say this was the best pizza we’ve ever had in the UK. What sets them apart is their use of locally sourced ingredients and organic flour. The taste was simply phenomenal – it’s the kind of pizza that makes you wonder why you ever settled for chain pizzerias. If you’re in the area, skip the Pizza Hut or Domino’s and treat yourself to The Cornish Pizza Company. It’s an experience that will change your perspective on what great pizza should taste like.
After savoring our delicious pizzas, we took a few moments to capture some photos on and around the beach. The setting sun provided a beautiful backdrop, making for some memorable shots.
Our visit to Trevaunance Cove was brief, as the incoming tide signaled it was time for us to head back to our accommodation. While we didn’t get to explore as much as we would have liked, this short visit left us eager to return. We’re already planning our next trip to Cornwall, and Trevaunance Cove is definitely on our list of places to revisit and explore more thoroughly.
This experience, though short, was a perfect end to our day at the Eden Project. It combined natural beauty, local history, and incredible food – elements that, for us, capture the essence of a great Cornish adventure.
